Description
Sona Masoori is prized for its versatility in the kitchen. Because the grains do not clump together, it is the ideal choice for preparing variety rice dishes such as lemon rice, tamarind rice (pulihora), and fried rice. In Kerala and other South Indian states, it is frequently served as plain steamed rice alongside sambar, rasam, or any of the spicy pickles discussed previously. It is also commonly used to make sweet dishes like pongal or kheer due to its ability to absorb flavors well while maintaining its structure.
